Five Things You Need to Know To Manifest Effectively

Five Things You Need to Know To Manifest Effectively

There is so much information around manifestation that it is hard to understand what you should do to make your dreams come to life. From what I learned over the years, these are the five things I wish someone told me at the beginning of my journey.

You are Already Manifesting

This is probably the biggest lesson and the hardest to digest because of how much accountability it entails. Your outside reality is nothing but a reflection of your inner world. That doesn't mean that you have total control of your life. The universe will still send you lessons you need to learn so you can grow and become the version of yourself you are meant to be. You also don't control other people, their choices or how they act. What is entirely under your control is how you experience those lessons and relationships. You have two options, one is to complain and play the victim which most of us default to or we can look at life with curiosity and just ask ourselves what we need to learn from this. If you're seeing the same situations repeating in your life, ask yourself, how am I acting differently than last time? What did I learn from last time? What do I still need to master/embrace/let go of? It is in this shift that you take your power back and start seeing your reality change and understand how much power you hold.

Manifesting Happens in the Subconscious

Have you tried doing vision boards, rewriting your goals 100 times or reading affirmations with no results? That's because manifestation happens at a subconscious level. Vision boards, repetition and affirmations can be powerful tools for manifestation if used correctly. But most will create a board or read the affirmations as if it's something they don't already have. To manifest, you need to embody the feeling you want in your life in the present. You only attract what you are. That's where subconscious reprogramming comes in. You can't manifest love if you don't love yourself or abundance if you think you don't have enough.

For me, this is where everything fell into place. I started looking at the limiting beliefs I had and saw how much I believed about myself that was not aligned with my goals. This is something you will be working on for years. I have years of therapy and there was so much that only recently I uncovered. But once you're aware and you start reprogramming your subconscious, you'll see incredible changes in your mental health and your life. You will also connect with your authentic self and remember what you truly love, what brings you joy and in this process the reality you want has no other option but to manifest in your reality.

You can only Manifest from Abundance

You cannot attract what you feel detached from. When you're in a lack mindset, you feel disconnected from what you want. Since you attract who you are, if you feel abundant and act like you already have everything you need, you will attract abundance. Look at this from another point of view. When you're worried or think that things are not going your way and that bad things keep happening, what usually happens? More problems come your way. When you embody lack or difficulty, you will find more reasons to believe this is true. The universe will always give you more of what you are.

We are used to needing to see proof to believe things are real, and to manifest effectively we need to trust something is in existence before we see it in our reality. This is a difficult shift. It's not easy to embrace financial abundance when living paycheck to paycheck. But there are so many other ways you have enough. Do you have a place to live? Do you have a loving family or friends? Are you healthy? Are you able to work? All these are different ways you are already abundant, so embrace it.

Embrace The Power of Gratitude

Gratitude attracts gratitude. Notice the theme here? Adding a gratitude practice to your daily routine is a simple yet effective way of rewiring your brain to focus on what you have instead of what you lack.

Years ago, long before I knew anything about manifestation, I was gifted a gratitude journal. I didn't think much of it, but I started using and things just started happening in my life. At the time, I had been looking for a new job for over a year without a single recruiter interview. I continued my gratitude practice and started seeing a career counsellor (aligned action).

At the time I didn't know I was going through the manifestation process, but as I started writing this story it was a full circle moment. The first thing she told me was to stop applying for jobs and focus on what I was looking for (authenticity). My first appointment was in the last week of December. By early March I had applied for 3 jobs, went to the final round of interviews of all 3 and got 2 job offers.

What changed? I stopped applying blindly and focused on what I wanted and what I already had and was grateful for. I remember clearly one day writing down my intention for the day "getting a job offer" and that very day I got the offer for the job I wanted. I stopped blaming the job market and my circumstances and focused on what I had to offer. I went from wanting to get a job to knowing it was coming at the right time and it was the perfect job at the right time.

So keep going back to gratitude. Keep focusing on the positive and more will follow. Anything you believe can happen, all you need to look at your inner world and keep reminding yourself who you are.

Detach From the Outcome

This is another point where a lot of people get stuck. Manifestation needs clear intention but requires detachment from the outcome. You want car XYZ, $1,000,000 in your bank account or a partner that looks a certain way. While all these goals can be helpful visualization tools, what you need to embrace is how you want to feel once you have these things. That’s your end goal. The how and when don’t matter.

Enter quantum physics and the law of attraction. Your thoughts and beliefs shape your reality. When I started my journey, I had a very tough year financially, and all I wanted was to manifest money. Instead, what I learned in the process is that I had wounds that needed to be healed and worthiness that needed to be strengthened. At the end of the day, what I really wanted was more freedom, to travel more and not worry about my finances. When you understand what you desire, it opens you up to new possibilities and you free yourself to focus on your passions instead of trying to control when or how things will happen. It's out of your control, so trust that the universe is always working in your favour.

Manifestation is a simple process. What takes work is embracing all the change required to rewire your subconscious. It's hard to take accountability, heal and break patterns, but it's a life-changing journey. You will grow, learn, and evolve and with each step of the journey, you will find a new piece of the puzzle that aligns you with your higher self.
